ALL FIGURES IN THE CHART ABOVE ARE AVERAGES, and will vary in the states you recruit it. For example, the market share of contracted annuity brokers for a company to hold the 1st position would be 23% of ALL true annuity brokers. From our years and years of evaluation, we have shown (based on the state) that the number 1 annuity carrier/marketer has under contract anywhere from 15% to 27%. This is a result of 2 main factors: the amount of carrier/marketer competition in the state, and the "personality" of the state.   What is consistent state to state and year to year, is that 77% of all annuity brokers are under contract with at least 1 of the top 9 annuity carriers. When only the first 5 companies are reviewed, it still works out to an impressive 50% market share of all annuity brokers contracted in that state. Bottom Line: spending your money targeting your competitors producing annuity brokers is the best money spent.  Clicking at the menu bar "agent lists" will be worth your time.

HOW TO MAKE ANY SENSE OUT OF THE CHART ABOVE:  First look at the shaded box in this chart. The annuity brokerage company with the most annuity brokers, company #1, has under contract 18% of the same annuity brokers that have been recruited by annuity insurer/marketer #2. Continuing across, see how Company #1 also has licensed 15% of company #3's producers. Now look at the end column for company #1. It shows that 53% of the total annuity brokers contracted by annuity brokerage companies #2 thru #9 are also contracted to do business with company #1. That means that although their market share of total annuity brokers in chart 1 is 23% over half of them are also doing business elsewhere. For company #1 to further increase ANY market share, it  is logically and financially forced to do it by soliciting the brokers of the other companies. The big problem that annuity brokerage company #1 faces, is just maintaining the ground it has worked so hard to earn. Daily, the smart recruiters at companies #2 thru #9 are working out plans to steal away future annuity premiums from company #1. However are they smart enough? If you read our articles on trade magazine advertising, and purchasing untrefined agent names you will realize one major concept.... successful recruiters target successful annuity producers almost exclusively. It's a long climb to the top, and a fast slide to go down.
